Thuraya NOVA Plan SIM

Thuraya NOVA Prepaid Plan provides discounted rates for calls originating from 142 countries and areas in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific — as low as 85 cents per minute!

IMPORTANT! Thuraya satellite service is NOT available in North & South America. Consider Iridium satellite phones instead.

Thuraya NOVA Plan comes with:

• $10 of preloaded airtime (valid for 30 days from first call)
• 1 year of account validity
• Activated services: voice, messaging, GmPRS data, voicemail

Calling Rates

• All calls are charged at 60 second increments, GmPRS - at 100-Kb data blocks.

• Thuraya NOVA plan WILL work outside the discounted origination areas, however, the regular calling rate will apply to all calls.
• If your location is not on the list, your better plan option will be Thuraya PREPAY Plan, which offers a flat calling rate throughout the Thuraya coverage.

Account Validity & Balance Rules:

• The Thuraya NOVA Plan has the initial validity of one (1) year from the first call.
• Annual Renewal Fee: $39
• The initial prepaid balance of $10 will be valid only for the first 30 days after the first call made with your new Thuraya account.
• If the account balance falls below $39 at the renewal time, the account will enter the 365-day grace period.
• During the grace period inbound calls will still be possible, however, outbound calls will NOT be allowed.
• Within the first 90 days of the grace period, any expired prepaid balance can be restored by recharging the account with airtime vouchers.
• If the account is NOT recharged within the 365-day grace period, the account will be permanently deactivated.
• To reactivate the same SIM-card, a reactivation fee equal to the price of a new plan will have to be paid.
• All Thuraya prepaid accounts are subject to a $19 monthly Dormancy Fee that will be charged to any account that hasn't been used for chargeable activity for more than 12 months.

Destination Bands

• Most world countries and territories fall in Band 1 destinations (see the Calling Rates table above).
• The countries, territories and other satellite systems mentioned below correspond to Band 2 and Catch-All destinations. Calling to those destinations will result in a significantly higher calling rate and faster depletion of your Thuraya prepaid balance.
